Sad: Best show on TV: Moyers & Company, ending production

One of the few great progressive voices on national television,
Bill Moyers, is halting production of his television show.

No reason given. However it is seems from the announcement
that this was not voluntary, as they still want to keep serving
their audience via the internet.

So, likely, they either a) lost funding, b) canned by PBS, or
maybe c) health issues? We can only speculate.

Moyers, who has produced a dozen excellent television
series for 30 years has had a rocky road with PBS. His series
has been cancelled several times over the years.

Recall, it was Bill Moyers who brought an in-depth interview
of Dr. Sandra Steingraber, about her civil disobedience action
and the fight to stop Inergy LLP's plant to store LPG/NGLs
under Seneca Lake.
I first started watching Bill Moyers' Journal in the 1970's.
However it was his series "Power of Myth" with Joseph
Campbell which turned me into a life-long fan.

It was Moyers excellent shows which helped motivate me
to go into television production, to produce shows that
I'd want to watch (since most TV is garbage).

The last show will air January 3.
