Lots of recent fracking protests happening around the world.

• In the spring and summer there was the Farmers Protest in Poland.
• There was also the Elsipogtog First Nations people in New Brunswick, Canada.
• Also in the summer was a weeks-long protest at Balcombe, West Sussex (South England).

Now there is a Fracking protest at the Barton Moss Rd, "IGas Energy" site
in Salford (Greater Manchester) UK.

  makes a joke about the similarity in the names IGas Energy and "I.G. Farben" which is
  the notorious industrial conglomorate which made the nerve gas for the Nazis Gas Chambers at Auschwitz.
