Those of you working for Home Rule in your towns, and on passing local
ordinances banning heavy industry (including fracking, etc.), might consider
attending the workshop below. (This is a followup announcement for this
event.)
It might be especially useful for town officials and others who are
interested in this strategy but uncertain about it.
I will be attending, along with some people from Otsego and Hartwick.

* Specific Hydro-fracking Gas Drilling Ban
* Back up findings and documentation to support bans such as long EAF,
comprehensive plans, CEA designations, agricultural districts, etc.
Effective, Specific Types of Zoning
* local wetlands protection * steep slope protection
* no clear cutting * noise control
* air pollution * night artificial lighting
protection
* truck traffic regulation * aquifer protection
