Here's the thing frackers should know about Yoko Ono...

The people who support fracking,
call Yoko Ono a "downstate blue-blood".

How many people know
she is also an affected landowner?
She lives part-time in upstate NY.

Now here's the thing
frackers should know about Yoko....

To most of us, Yoko has unimaginable wealth.
Yet, despite her wealth,
she has NO SPECIAL RIGHTS or PROTECTIONS
against the pipeline proposed to run through her back yard.
Do you see the irony here?

All of the people who support fracking
want money. Without exception.
Money is the sole motivation to frack.

These people think that money will bring
them happiness, and greater political power.
It will not.

The story of Yoko Ono should tell them others.
Money cannot by Happiness, or Love,
or even protection against a corporation
which wants to built a pipeline on her property.
I wonder if the frackers knew this,
if it would change their mind?

I wonder if they met
Matt and Tammy Manning
and their children,
as Yoko did,
if it would change their mind?

God Bless you, Yoko Ono!

You told me you weren't leased. That you had no financial ties to fracking.

Now you are donating your royalties? C'mon Vic. When your stories are all over the place like this, how is someone supposed to know which to believe?

Vic,

You can donate money to Chow right now. If you feel charitable, work in the service of the poor. This is a noble goal. I am happy you are thinking about charity work.

But then you tell me you are going to gamble with gangsters, and then donate the winnings to charity?

I am not judging you. It seems to me that money from Gambling is dirty money. In the case of Shale Gas Fracking, it's gambling with more than what belongs to you.

The flowing waters beneath your land give life to many living plants, and crawling creatures living downstream.

The decision to frack "your property" impacts many beings. You do not have clear title for sole rights to determine this land use.

Gambling proceeds are stained
with blood. I do not believe it is honorable to donate blood-money to Charity.

It is less like a gift of compassion but more a grasping-love tainted with greed. You are using charity as an excuse to fulfill your lust.

My teacher says it is good to cultivate compassion and care for all beings.

So if you are moved to donate to Chow, don't wait for fracking.

You can donate some rice and beans to the poor today.

If you don't have money, you can volunteer your time.

Wishing you Peace and Happiness
Wm

If you lease your land, you are gambling with gangsters. You are wagering something YOU DO NOT OWN (water for everyone downstream).

What is with your obsession with aquifers? That is only one part of the watershed. I never knew they all were named.

You want one, here's one: DIMOCK.
The aquifer in Dimock (not sure the name) has been contaminated with methane and heavy metals, likely from drilling activity in the area. Cabot agreed in three separate consent agreements that they were to blame for the contamination.

There have been 161 cases of water contamination determined by the PA DEP to be caused by gas drilling operators, and 969 total reported cases (as of a few months ago), likely more now. There are DOZENS of cases in Bradford County and Susquehanna County.

http://www.damascuscitizensforsustainability.org/pa-dep-determination-letters/

Are you saying a faulty pump is responsible for the explosive levels of methane in the Manning's well? Woah, that's a real whopper.

No Vic, it's most likely the Depue 8H well, with the failed casing, 4,000 feet away. Too far to be included under the "presumed liability" doctrine.

Yes Vic, there are 98 unconventional wells within the Binghamton water supply. This is a FACT. Do you dispute this fact?

Yes Vic, there have been several incidents of contamination in the area upstream by gas drilling and related activity. Do you deny this fact?

No, what you do is MISCHARACTERIZE what I've said, then say I am lying. This is called the "straw man" fallacy, one of the many tricks used by API, IPAA, and EID shills.

So people should plainly see who is the REAL LIAR HERE. OK, maybe you are not lying, but at a minimum you are confused about the facts.

Here is the video series, so people can see for themselves exactly what I've said.

Vic, if you question any of my statements, please write down the name of the video and the time when I said it, and I'll have a look.

If it's a blog post, kindly provide a URL and an EXACT QUOTE. Thanks.

Vic, if I got 1,000 people to sign a petition that states "I believe Vic Furman is an astronaut", would that make it true?

No. Petitions are not used to determine truth, only a desire.

Are you saying that 32 families in Dimock CANNOT have contaminated water, because there are 1,989 others who's water is fine?

I don't think that's how truth works....

Vic, there is a difference between a petition which states a fact: "10,000 people signed a petition that the Moon is Made of Green Cheese!"

... and a petition of 60,000 NY voters who are telling the Governor "Don't Frack NY".

The First is a fact (a false one).
The Second is an opinion (a powerful one).

Vic, what's up with you? Do you carry a lot of guilt about something you've done in your past?

Vic, causing harm to me, or anyone else working to ban fracking is NOT going to make you happy, or alleviate your guilt about your past actions.

Only you can fix that, but you need help/counseling. I hope you get the help you need.

So please take my advice and control your anger and hatred. Take yoga. Read a Wayne Dyer or Louise Hay book.

Get some help before you commit any more acts of violence.
