Can you help me solve a mystery, and
meet me in Milford tomorrow morning?
--- --- --- --- ---
Our sacred river is in jeopardy.
The recent water
was a message from the Earth.
The recent rumbling
came from deep inside the Body of our Mother.
Are we listening to the message?
Here are the directions:
WHAT: The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC www.srbc.net)
is holding its regular quarterly business meeting
this week, which is open to the public.
SRBC will ... present the current Hydrologic Conditions
Report and discuss the recent devastating flooding, report on SRBC's Remote Water Quality Monitoring
Network stations in Southern Tier NY mdw.srbc.net/remotewaterquality/, and vote on 22 water
withdrawal and consumptive use applications (mostly related to natural gas well development).
WHEN: Thursday, September 15, 2011 / 8:30 a.m.
WHERE: Country Inn & Suites Cooperstown, Evergreen Banquet Room, Milford, NY
WHO: SRBC commissioners and alternates voting at the meeting:
Kenneth Lynch, Director, Region 7, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
Kelly Hefner, Chair, Deputy Secretary for Water Management, PA Department of Environmental
Protection
Col. David Anderson, District Engineer, Baltimore District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Herb Sachs, Special Projects Coordinator, Office of the Secretary
MD Department of the Environment
SRBC officers participating in the meeting:
Paul Swartz, Executive Director
Thomas Beauduy, Deputy Executive Director
Marcia Rynearson, Director, Administration and Finance
Stephanie Richardson, Secretary to the Commission
SRBC: Is the governing agency established under a 100-year compact signed on December 24, 1970 by
the federal government and the states of New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland to protect and wisely
manage the water resources of the Susquehanna River Basin. The Susquehanna River starts in
Cooperstown, N.Y., and flows 444 miles to Havre de Grace, Md., where the river meets the Chesapeake
Bay.
HERE IS THE MYSTERY:
Call your friends tonight or early tomorrow.
It's that important.
After you watch the first video,
you get a big "Up Next: " promo for the second video,
produced by "KOGA7"
I wonder if Google is selling "Up Next"
for advertising and PR?
Hope to see you in Milford,
BH
