Imagine 36,000 leaking gas wells by the time the kids are grown

What if every time you crossed a bridge, you faced a 6.2% chance of falling into the river?
One out of every 16 bridge crossings would end you up in the river.

Yet, this is the industry-wide rate of INITIAL casing failures of gas wells in PA (Ingraffea).

So let's do the math. 60,000 wells planned for NY.
Times 6.2% = 3720 INITIAL well failures in NY causing methane migration into ground water.
This is nearly FOUR THOUSAND chances for a private drinking water wells or aquifers to become polluted.
This is initially, just after the well is drilled.
Over 20 years, 60% fail.
This means it is likely (assuming full scale development in NY)
there will be 36,000 leaking gas wells by the time the kids are grown.

JUST SAY NO to dirty energy, NY!!!

We must BAN GAS DRILLING in NY and Everywhere!

May you, and all beings
be happy and free from suffering :)
