Map showing precise location of Enka NC pipeline explosion

By examining photographs contained in these published news reports,
I was able to precisely locate the site of the gas pipeline rupture in Enka NC (near Ashville)

(see attached image)

I verified this from photos from 2 different angles

1: woman in parking lot looking south http://binged.it/1exIsmx
2: shot between houses 4-6 Orchard Ave. showing flames over green shed http://goo.gl/maps/kFxAJ

Google street view actually shows the pipeline exposed at a stream crossing and some nearby road erosion
(@Enka Crescent St). http://goo.gl/maps/J5Aiz

Not many, but a few pipeline markers on the north side of 112: http://goo.gl/maps/7Np2O

The pipeline crosses the road just east of the rupture, as can bee seen in the markings
in the road and also yellow markers on the sides in Google Street View: http://goo.gl/maps/WAVBj

Pipe can be seen in some aerial views, and orange construction netting near the site
(image date March 2008) indicating possible taps for local distribution lines to new
homes or businesses(??).

The other interesting thing is, if you compare Google Street view (March 2008) and
aerial views from Bing Maps or Google Maps, we can see that 112 was recently widened
to accommodation a turning lane.

So perhaps all of this recent construction (last few years) damaged the pipe.
