"Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?'
Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?'
Vanity asks the question, 'Is it popular?'
But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?'

"And there comes a point
when one must take a position
that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular,
but one must take it because one's conscience
tells one that it is right"
Martin Luther King, Jr

Is being a vegetarian hard?

Well, it takes practice.

You have to learn how to read labels
and learn about where ingredients come from...

But like anything
yoga, playing guitar, being a parent,
doing any job you happen to be doing,
it becomes absolutely easy and effortless
once you get your head right.

So here's the question for you:
If you are ignorant of the knowledge
of the suffering your diet causes,
if you are walking around life
asleep or unconscious,
that's one thing.

But once you KNOW about the suffering,
your actions are causing,
what exactly is your excuse
for keeping on doing the same thing?

It's not convenient?
It's too hard?
It takes work?
The violent diet is cheaper?
I fart when I eat plant protein?
I happen to like the taste of flesh, blood, and bone?

...c'mon...

that same argument could be used to justify ANYTHING
from killing Jews to raping kids.

So what are you going to do differently tomorrow?
