Message to pass along == Broome, Tioga, Chenango Dems == por favor

Maybe you can pass this along to the local
Broome -- Tioga -- Chenango
Democratic Party leadership?
Maybe you *are* part of that leadership.

We need a strong anti-fracking candidate
to run against Libous.

This means John Orzel must step aside,

and for God's Sake, get the party behind
Barrett Esworthy.

He has the WFP endorsement, I heard
this is excellent.

If you endorse Orzel, you split the ticket.
Almost certainly gives a plurality to Libous.

You simply must put up Esworthy.
It's the only rational move here.

If you put forward Orzel,
then it's a coin toss on the biggest issue here:
fracking.

If you put forward Esworthy,
HE IS IN!! == 100% guaranteed
I have no doubt about this.

This is a super-majority issue here, people.
More than 2/3rds.

http://williamahuston.blogspot.com/2012/07/majorities-oppose-shale-gas-throughout.html

I have seen this in the ratio of speakers
at the DEC hearings.
The lowest 2/3rds (Dansville/Loch Sheldrake)
were skewed, because the paid shills like Tom Shepstone
and other EID people and pro-gas JLCNYers
packed the morning session.

to 3/4ths even.
100% of the comments were agsint fracking
at Ithaca and Delhi.  Oneonta was 90% against.

There is no legislative override higher
than a 2/3 majority.

A Veto needs a 2/3 majority.
Amending the Constitution requires a 2/3 majority.

If the party leadership plays this correctly,
the Dems EASILY pick up/displace
a KEY seat in the Senate,
and maybe we can protect this water a little longer.

Can't mess around here.
This is serious stuff, folks.

We need Esworthy up
to clearly defeat Libous.

Libous is against home rule -- for god's sake!
It's time for him to retire.

His actions indicate
he is totally on the take in the pocket of industry.
and many people suspect this.
Fracking is just the latest thing.

I've heard these same rumors for 10+ years
from different people

You know the one.  Here's a hint: O.L.

We have to remove him from office.
It's time for Tom to retire.

( and BTW: we don't even need to proscecute him.
Just removing his power --  his ability to do harm -- is enough.
Let him sit in a rocking chair at his cottage on Oquaga Lake
and reflect on his life. That is enough. )

Don't mess up here.
There appears to be no Green in the race.
Don't force us to vote for a Yellow Dog Democrat.
Give us a strong candidate, please.

There is a lot a stake here.
Maybe more then many of us realize.

Please have Orzel stand aside.

I would be grateful if you would forward this on
to Democratic Party Leadership
in Tioga, Broome, and Chenango counties.

Thanks,
BH
