(Vestal NY) -- "Nicht geschrieben", said David Bernheim by telephone call tonight,
when asked if people should be celebrating a court victory. "It is not written".
Bernheim, attorney for the plaintiff, Dr. Charles Carperter of Vestal,
was not notified if State Supreme Court Justice Molly Fitzgerald
made a decision Friday.
"We must assume the worst case, that the planned deer slaughter is
happening on schedule", said William Huston, a local animal-rights
advocate.
"This is a RED ALERT",
Huston continued.
"We are calling on all friends of animals to get into the
Binghamton University Nature Preserve this Christmas weekend.
Be on the watch for baiting locations, hunting platforms in trees,
and suspicious activity or vehicles in the Preserve. Contact me
at 607-321-7846 and report what you see. "
