Audience with a Great Swami Today

Pujaswami Dayananda Saraswati

A had extreme good fortune to have private audience today with Pujaswami Dayananda Saraswati, who is perhaps the greatest living authority and scholar of Vedanta, which is the "Final Answer" to the problem of living; literally, "the End of Knowledge".

Swami Dayananda is in direct linage to Sri Sri Adi Shankacharya, perhaps the greatest Vedantic scholar in last 1,000 years.

My friend Niranjan Shah arraigned it. Niranjan is a an author and a very great historian of world culture.

Niranjan says Vedanta is "at least" 7,000 years old. He says there is evidence in the Purans that this pure stream of Ancient Knowledge extends to before the last Ice Age, 10-12,000 years ago. He cites all Western scholars.

Anyway, it's not often one receives and gives blessings to a great Swami Sanyasi.

I became associated with Swami Dayananda when he gave a talk in Corning, around 2009.
I was facilitating a book-club at River Read Books called "Binghamton Spirituality, Empowerment, and Wellness". Not that I claim to be any authority. Only that I wanted to heal from my own pain, and ideally be with others on a similar path.

Someone in the club brought a newspaper announcement about him giving a free talk and catered lunch of Indian food. Shortly thereafter, I realized my teacher, Edmond Cotton -- a great teacher in the linage of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi-- was associated with a Bhagavad Gita study group which met locally in a private home.

I also saw Swami Dayananda at ICC in Vestal a couple of years ago. I think I have a recording of that somewhere...

Om, shanti shanti shanti!
May all beings be happy and free from suffering!
